EEWSHM Praying and Building 8/8/15

Julmice read Matthew 7:7 - Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

The crew started with laying the block on the second floor of the guesthouse. Please be interceding for perseverance and wisdom as we continue in this ministry. Our mantra is Waiting for God, Fearless to Move, Trusting His Provision. We are thankful you are a part of this movement and are excited to just watch how God will work through us day by day. Pray for Spirit-filled, servant-minded leaders for our team...hearts to be ready to meet and accept Jesus.

Julmice read Psalm 41:1 - Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble.

Please be praying for Julmice and the workers as they put the roof on the second floor of the guesthouse starting tomorrow. This will be a HUGE job that will start early in the morning and go late into the evening. Please continue to pray for Spirit-filled, servant-minded leaders to join our staff and that the hearts of our neighbors will be prepared to see Jesus through this ministry!

"...Your name and renown are the desire of our hearts."

Isaiah 26:8

Julmice read 1 John 4:12-13 - No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.

Julmice read James 3:18 And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

Please be praying for Julmice. He has not been feeling well with fever, headache and coughing since the beginning of the week. He said he was a little better today but still coughing. The construction is moving right along. Pray that God will send Spirit-filled, servant-minded leaders to join our team. We must continue to be faithful in prayer and to wait on God, be fearless in our response to His leading and trusting in His provision. It is our great pleasure to just sit back and watch what God will do. There is unimaginable peace in that position!

Julmice read Psalm 46:1-3 - God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

Please continue to intercede for this ministry. Our faith is in the One who is our refuge and strength so we choose not to fear. Troubles will come but He is bigger! Pray for changed lives and God glorified. Excited to be a part of what He is doing in Quartier Morin!

Julmice read 2 Corinthians 3:17 - For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

We were able to see the construction in person which was a blessing! Julmice and the workers have done an amazing job! God continues the work of shaping me every time I go to Haiti. I am reminded of how weak I am, how unable, how Satan will try anything to distract, confuse, discourage or destroy. I am faced with the overwhelming poverty and the questions of why. I struggle with any explanation that makes sense except that God knows His plan. I am called to surrender to His wisdom, His power, His sovereignty, His provision. And then, I must be thankful for how He cares for and loves the weakest among us and calls me to do the same. I cannot save them, solve their problems or change their lives - only their Savior Jesus can do that ultimately. But, I must share His love with them by caring for the sick, the hungry, the thirsty, the needy, the orphans, the widows, the elderly. I was reminded of the the story of Abraham and Isaac. God asked him to sacrifice his son, the miraculous answer to his and Sarah's prayers. I think how they must have thought if only momentarily, how can this be right? How can our God ask us to do this unimaginable, painful thing? Then, I remember that God knew the outcome that they did not. The lesson for me - trust God even when it seems like the situation cannot coexist with a loving, all-powerful God. I see through the lens but dimly but a day will come when I will see clearly. This doesn't always do it for me but I know that it is truth even if it doesn't feel like it. I MUST trust Him over my feelings. He has proven that He is trustworthy and is always with me even when it doesn't make sense!

Please continue praying with us for Spirit-filled, servant-minded staff and that the hearts of the people in the community around See Him will be prepared to know Jesus. Pray that He will draw the workers close to Himself and that the seeds that Julmice is planting from His word will grow in their hearts.

Share this ministry with your friends and co-workers. Invite them to check out the website. We have a goal of $200,000 and we sit at around $144,000 right now. Pray for God's provision for the financial needs.

Julmice read 1 Corinthians 10:13 - The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Included in the pics with construction progress are the solar lights that have been installed around the compound.
