Julmice read 2 Corinthians 3:17 - For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
We were able to see the construction in person which was a blessing! Julmice and the workers have done an amazing job! God continues the work of shaping me every time I go to Haiti. I am reminded of how weak I am, how unable, how Satan will try anything to distract, confuse, discourage or destroy. I am faced with the overwhelming poverty and the questions of why. I struggle with any explanation that makes sense except that God knows His plan. I am called to surrender to His wisdom, His power, His sovereignty, His provision. And then, I must be thankful for how He cares for and loves the weakest among us and calls me to do the same. I cannot save them, solve their problems or change their lives - only their Savior Jesus can do that ultimately. But, I must share His love with them by caring for the sick, the hungry, the thirsty, the needy, the orphans, the widows, the elderly. I was reminded of the the story of Abraham and Isaac. God asked him to sacrifice his son, the miraculous answer to his and Sarah's prayers. I think how they must have thought if only momentarily, how can this be right? How can our God ask us to do this unimaginable, painful thing? Then, I remember that God knew the outcome that they did not. The lesson for me - trust God even when it seems like the situation cannot coexist with a loving, all-powerful God. I see through the lens but dimly but a day will come when I will see clearly. This doesn't always do it for me but I know that it is truth even if it doesn't feel like it. I MUST trust Him over my feelings. He has proven that He is trustworthy and is always with me even when it doesn't make sense!
Please continue praying with us for Spirit-filled, servant-minded staff and that the hearts of the people in the community around See Him will be prepared to know Jesus. Pray that He will draw the workers close to Himself and that the seeds that Julmice is planting from His word will grow in their hearts.
Share this ministry with your friends and co-workers. Invite them to check out the website. We have a goal of $200,000 and we sit at around $144,000 right now. Pray for God's provision for the financial needs.
